Corn Bread

1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1 cup yellow corn meal
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup vegetable oil or soft shortening

Combine dry ingredients. Mix eggs, milk, and oil. Then stir into flour mixture. Mix well. Bake in a preheated iron skillet at 425 for 20 to 30 minutes or in a preheated iron corn bread mold at 425 for 12 to 15 minutes.
